Parcel day 2020
In May this year, the Czech branch of GLS will once again take part in the unofficial celebrations of International Parcel Day, whose tradition dates back to 2015. Just like last year the celebration will have the form of game based on geocaching called ParcelCaching.
Parcel transport breaks records in the coronavirus period. GLS strengthens lines by purchasing new containers
Package volumes have broken records in recent weeks. Therefore, the parcel carrier GLS decided to respond to the increased demand by strengthening the capacity of the main lines by purchasing 200 new jumbo containers intended for Eastern Europe.
The Christmas season was a success for carriers. Nevertheless, a third of e-shops did not manage to deliver all orders at the last minute
Most e-shop owners were satisfied with the delivery of shipments before Christmas. At the same time, however, 14 % of the surveyed e-shops did not manage to deliver a tenth of the daily quantity by Christmas Day, even though they were handed over for transport within the deadline guaranteed by individual carriers.
