Dear customers,
Due to the current situation caused by the long-term closure of retail stores in connection with the government's measure against the proliferation of Covid-19, our capacities are currently extremely busy.
We expect that the impact of BlackFriday will affect the number of shipments this week due to overflowing e-shop warehouses. The announced opening of retail stores on Thursday may bring some calming in delivery to private addresses, on the other hand, we will increasingly have to ensure the transport of goods to these stores.
Please understand that in the current situation, some shipments may be temporarily delayed this week.
Recipients are requested to observe the following rules:
- Please order the goods at addresses where you can be reached personally during the day or send them to a person who can receive the shipment.
- Use the delivery of your shipment to one of more than 600 GLS ParcelShop delivery points evenly distributed throughout the Czech Republic.
- Minimize entering requests for a change of delivery, especially for a change of address. In the current situation, forwarding a shipment to another address may delay its shipment by several days.
- Please wait for notification SMS and other information from GLS.
We would like to assure you that despite the very extreme number of shipments, all our employees are doing their best to ensure that they arrive safely, reliably and with a minimum of delay.
We thank you for your understanding and for a friendly smile for our couriers, who have been working at maximum for more than a month to ensure that your parcels arrive on time.

GLS will operate on a limited basis during the Christmas holidays. We recommend to order gifts on the 13th at latest.

For a timely delivery of ordered parcels by Christmas, we recommend ordering goods from e-shops no later than on Sunday, December 13th, 2020, so that they can be handed over to GLS for transportation no later than Wednesday, December 16th, 2020.
Only if the parcel is handed over to GLS within this period, it is possible to provide complete delivery services to the home address, including the possibility of redirecting the parcel or of a repeated delivery if the recipient is not reached before Christmas Day.
For international transport, add the standard transit time from/to the destination to this date.
The operation of the GLS network will be limited during the Christmas holidays. When planning the transport of parcels, please take into account the following operating hours of GLS Czech Republic:

Due to government measures from October 22nd 2020, the GLS ParcelShop network is partially closed. Parcels stored in them will be delivered to the home address.

Dear customers,
With regard to the development of the epidemic and in order to slow down the spread of the coronavirus infection, the Government of the Czech Republic introduced a regulation on the general closure of most non-food outlets and services with effect from October 22nd 2020 at 6.00 am.
The measure has a number of exceptions. However, according to the government, about 50 % of retail stores will be closed, which will lead to the suspension of some GLS ParcelShops. We are continuously updating the list of affected ParcelShops.
If an uncollected parcel is waiting for you in a closed GLS ParcelShop, GLS will pick it up and make a free delivery attempt directly to your address as soon as possible. Delivery to home addresses takes place in the standard way without interruption.

Due to the system maintenance the dispatch software GLSOnline will not be available on 12 September.
Printing of address labels with GLSOnline will be possible in off-line regime. Created data will be transmitted right away after the maintenance work is over. The Track&Trace system will not be available either. The outage will last from 8:00 to 11:00.
We are very sorry for any caused problems.
