GLS France celebrates the successful integration of the startup Tousfacteurs , with nearly 30 million parcels geotracked in one year.
June 29, 2023 | Paris, France
In June 2022, GLS France announced the acquisition of Tousfacteurs . In a hyper-competitive sector where innovation is essential, GLS France acquired this startup to accelerate its digital transformation and meet the growing needs of customers in terms of traceability, reliability and speed of delivery. Today, the company claims to be 3 years ahead of its competitors in terms of innovation. Some tools deployed exclusively by GLS France since the acquisition mark a step forward with industry practices and are now available for all B2C parcels managed by GLS France.
These new features now allow GLS to progress in a rather constrained market: 65 million parcels are delivered each year, 50% in B2B and 50% in B2C. GLS France's turnover thus increased by 6% over the last financial year to reach 481 million euros in 2022, crowning 3 years of growth for a total of +43%.
Unique and interactive tools
With the acquisition of Tousfacteurs , GLS France has become the spearhead of the group and the sector in terms of innovation. Thanks to the collaboration with the "digital native" team of Tousfacteurs , GLS has been able to develop disruptive solutions to simplify the daily lives of end customers and offer an exceptional delivery experience. GLS's NPS has increased from 50 to 65 in less than a year: an exceptionally high level for the market. Among the main achievements of this collaboration is GLS's exclusive geotracking system which allows 100% tracking of parcels intended for individuals. This cutting-edge technology offers optimal traceability and strengthens the satisfaction of recipient customers. Accompanied by unique interaction tools on the market ( real-time redirection and the ability for brands to offer content to customers ).
● Geotracking : GLS is the only carrier to carry out geolocation tracking of 100% of B2C parcels over the last mile.
● LRS (Live Redirection Service): live change of delivery method up to a quarter of an hour before delivery.
● Advertiser space on the geolocation page: for GLS customer companies, Track & Engage allows you to add targeted communication on the delivery tracking page, with an advertising space, for a 100% complete and immersive purchasing and delivery experience.
“ Innovation is at the heart of our strategy at GLS. Thanks to the successful integration of Tousfacteurs , we have been able to push the boundaries of customer experience in the parcel delivery sector. In addition to the generalization of precise geolocation, we have invested in advanced technological solutions such as the Live Redirection Service (LRS) which allows real-time interaction with the delivery, thus offering a unique interactive experience. In addition, we have developed an advertiser space on the geolocation page, which offers shippers an immersive brand experience.” says Nicolas Robert, Managing Director of GLS France
Solutions that appeal to individuals and businesses: Zalando, Lidl, etc.
The collaboration between GLS and Tousfacteurs has also enabled GLS France to expand its customer portfolio, attracting new companies such as Zalando, Lidl, Silamp and Paris Fashion Shop, who were won over by the quality of service and the innovations offered.
"GLS now meets our expectations, particularly in terms of the level of service and the flexibility offered to recipients up until the last moment. Beyond the delivery service provided, they are committed to offering the best possible customer experience. It is a partner we have been able to count on since the launch of our e-commerce site." Arnaud Girard - e-commerce manager - Lidl France
GLS France and its startup Tousfacteurs continue to work on new artificial intelligence solutions to improve delivery operations, provide additional vigilance to delivery people and increase customer satisfaction. The startup Tousfacteurs is therefore a true integrated innovation laboratory, which also continues its green delivery activity, offering unmatched performance in the sector.
"We are pleased with our successful integration into GLS France, which is rare in the world of acquisitions. Together, we have been able to preserve Tousfacteurs ' autonomy while benefiting from significant synergies. This collaboration has been a real driver of innovation for GLS France, positioning us ahead of the market in terms of digitalization and customer satisfaction. This has allowed Tousfacteurs to make a real change of scale, to mobilize new human and financial resources to develop and deploy other innovations within the GLS group." add Benjamin Levine and Youssef Tagemouati , co-founders of Tousfacteurs .
