GLS France unveils major improvements to its FlexDeliveryService (FDS) during Paris Retail Week.
September 19, 2023 | Paris, France
GLS, a leading global delivery company, today announced significant enhancements to its FlexDeliveryService (FDS) during Paris Retail Week. These enhancements are designed to further strengthen GLS’s commitment and focus on improving the delivery experience and customer satisfaction.
FlexDeliveryService is an innovative, geolocalized and interactive home delivery solution that offers a unique experience to senders and recipients. In particular, it allows recipients to provide a solution to the problems they may encounter: continuous information, flexibility, interactivity. A few months ago, the service was enhanced by allowing all individual recipients delivered by GLS to track the arrival of their parcel in real time on their mobile and to act on it if necessary (redirection to a GLS Relay for example).
The latest updates to this flagship GLS service now include:
Tracking Screen Customization: Shipper customers (shippers) have the option to customize the parcel tracking screen with their brand colors.
Offered at no extra cost, this customization is accessible on an intuitive and user-friendly platform. This parcel tracking screen customized by the brand offers recipients a consistent and immersive visual experience from start to finish: from purchase to delivery
Reputation booster: GLS introduces a post-delivery SMS, allowing recipients to provide feedback on their shopping experience. On average, this initiative generated a satisfaction rating of 4.9/5.
This feature was previously sold separately, but is now integrated into the service.
These improvements underline GLS’s ambition towards customer satisfaction and continuous innovation in the field of logistics and delivery. GLS seeks to offer a more personalized and comprehensive delivery experience to its customers while strengthening its own reputation as an industry leader.
With the support of the trafic2 agency, GLS France wanted to offer an immersive presentation of its solution during the Paris Retail Week trade fair.
The tour begins outside the show. Here, participants are greeted by a host dressed in GLS gear. They are invited to slip into the shoes of a delivery person by simply scanning a QR code with their smartphone. No prior registration is necessary, the experience is open to all.
The adventure unfolds over a 216-metre route to the GLS stand. Guided by a series of stickers, participants take "the path to deliverance". Each sticker presents a unique customer issue related to the FlexDeliveryService, from outside the show to the GLS stand. By responding to these challenges, they visualize In mixed reality, participants gradually discover the values and solutions offered by GLS to “free customers from their uncertainties”.
Arriving at the GLS stand, participants present themselves in front of the last sticker that marks the end of their journey. At this point, they have the opportunity to conclude their experience on the application. The GLS team welcomes them to give them a goodie and answer any questions.
