The company is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 by Dekra, one of the largest international issuers of management certification. As such, GLS meets internationally recognised high standards.

GDP – certified transport of medication
GLS has been awarded GDP (Good Distribution Practice) compliance certification in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland and Spain. GDP guidelines are mandatory for the wholesale of pharmaceuticals across the EU. In six countries, GLS therefore meets the stringent requirements for the safe, hygienic and product-appropriate transport of human medication. It is intended that other GLS companies obtain the certification.

This globally valid and recognised standard is one of the most important environmental management benchmarks for manufacturing companies and service providers alike.

GLS Commits to Reducing Carbon Footprint with EN16258 Certification
GLS is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. In this regard, GLS has obtained the EN16258 certification, establishing that the methodology for calculating and reporting energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transport services has been declared compliant according to this standard.
This European standard defines a harmonized methodology that allows companies to reliably and verifiably assess and communicate the carbon impact of their transport activities. Its application strengthens GLS's commitment to sustainable logistics and responsible environmental management.

EcoVadis Certification
GLS Group’s sustainability efforts have been rewarded with the EcoVadis Silver Certificate rated 70/100.
EcoVadis looks at a range of metrics under the categories: Environment, Sustainable Procurement, Ethics, Labour & Human Rights, rating companies against the highest possible standard. GLS Group’s environmental impact score of 90/100 puts the company among the 2% top-rated companies in the postal, courier and freight transport industry within the Environmental category. Overall, GLS is in the top 6% of companies in the postal, courier and freight transport industry assessed by EcoVadis.
