GLS environmental responsibility
GLS is aware that we all share the same space. For this reason, the protection of the environment is an integral part of the GLS logistics strategy. In fact, sustainability is one of our five fundamental values, a driving force that each of our employees puts into practice every single day.
The ThinkGreen environmental program was launched in 2008; it coordinates and actively promotes multiple eco-activities within our group.
Reduction of emissions, responsible handling and use of resources, and waste recycling are the main objectives of the program.
In order to achieve the set objectives, we are focusing on a wide range of measures concerning means of delivery, transport planning and the structural characteristics of buildings.
The methods adopted to achieve these objectives are scrupulously controlled. All our efforts to achieve the desired results for each individual field of action and their respective progress are regularly monitored.
