With the end of the calendar year approaching, we would like to inform you in advance about the operation of GLS Slovakia during the Christmas holidays and the end of the year 2020.

The quantities transported in the last week of Christmas enormously exceed the standard volume of transported parcels and therefore during this period they undergo operational and systemic intervention in delivery so that all Christmas parcels are delivered by 23 December 2020.
Therefore, we would like to specify that you hand over all your parcels for transport by 18 December 2020, as this date is also the date of the last delivery of parcels, when we guarantee delivery of parcels by 24 December 2020.
As follow:
-Parcels selected on 23 December 2020 will be delivered within Slovakia on 28 December 2020 and in other countries within standard delivery times.
- in the period from 24 December 2020 to 27 December 2020, all GLS Slovakia depots will be closed and no pick-up / delivery of parcels will take place.
- in the period from 28 December 2020 to 30 December 2020, the delivery and collection of parcels will take place in the standard mode.
- 31.12.2020 all GLS Slovakia operations are closed.
- Parcels picked up on December 30, 2020 will be delivered within Slovakia on January 4, 2021 and in other countries within standard delivery times.

The year 2020 is a turning point for GLS Slovakia also in terms of expanding transport capacities, as well as capacities for processing parcels in our central and local transhipments.
New depots in GLS Slovakia
At a time of coronavirus spread and constant growth of parcel volumes, we strive to ensure greater comfort and convenience for our customers and contractual partners.
"During this year, we managed to open a record number of 5 new depots - Humenné, Levice and Vrbové, Považské Podhradie and Martin. Thanks to this, we are getting closer and closer to customers all over Slovakia and it also allows us to make more effective use of the potential of our delivery couriers. ” explains GLS operations manager., Ing. Ján Prečuch.
At GLS Slovakia, we are constantly innovating. In addition, we have been able to upgrade the technology needed for morning and evening parcel processing. Thanks to this step, couriers will spend less time in the depot consequently they will be able to pay more attention to their customers in order to delivery faster, be more flexible and ensure reliable delivery across almost all GLS depots.
We are constantly expanding the depot network for you, your needs and wishes.
