GLS Group announces the successful integration of GLS US services with its European network, allowing direct parcel delivery between the U.S. and Europe. This strategic initiative marks a significant step in connecting GLS US with the GLS Group’s European network, spanning 40 countries, while enhancing transatlantic parcel delivery capabilities and expanding service offerings for customers.

Amsterdam, February 11, 2025 – GLS Group announces the successful integration of GLS US services with its European network, allowing direct parcel delivery between the U.S. and Europe. This strategic initiative marks a significant step in connecting GLS US with the GLS Group’s European network, spanning 40 countries, while enhancing transatlantic parcel delivery capabilities and expanding service offerings for customers.

Milan, 3 February 2025 - GLS Italy today announced the appointment of Guido Pietro Bertolone as Chief Executive Officer of GLS Italy SpA, effective immediately. GLS Italy, a leading player in the express shipping industry, is one of the leading international players in the Italian freight market.
With over 25 years of supply chain experience and solid expertise in warehouse logistics, freight forwarding and express services, Bertolone brings with him deep industry expertise. Prior to joining GLS Italy, he served as Group CEO at the Arcese Group, where he successfully led global operations.
Recognised for his pragmatic leadership and strategic vision, Bertolone has a deep understanding of the market. His commitment to operational excellence, talent development and sustainable, measurable growth has characterised his entire career.

The new facility boasts over 200,000 square feet of dock and office space, with integrated parcel and freight capabilities. This state-of-the-art hub will serve as a central point for the GLS Ontario operations, seamlessly integrating with its provincial network and its extensive national network of 65 terminals across Canada.
