UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification
Achieving the highest quality standards, guaranteeing you an increasingly reliable and safe service, is one of our main objectives. The quality we offer you is certified in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 certification
GLS's environmental management system is the basis for implementing the measures developed as part of Think Green and achieving the targets set. Since 2011, one by one, the companies of the GLS Group in Italy have achieved certification, meeting the requirements of UNI EN ISO 14001.
UNI ISO 45001:2018 certification
For the GLS Group the safety of people, employees and suppliers, is fundamental; for this reason it is committed to safe working conditions through a policy of reducing and, when possible, eliminating risks, also through the involvement of workers. The principle that applies is: safe, healthy and risk-free. The implementation of a Management System compliant with UNI ISO 45001 is a demonstration of GLS's commitment to achieving these objectives.
AEO-F certification (full)
Since 17th July 2013, GLS is an "Authorized Economic Operator" with the customs authorities. For us, safety and reliability in sending shipments is of primary importance and we have demonstrated it by obtaining the AEO-F certification (full). This certification represents a great advantage: being classified as low risk at customs, it contributes to streamlining customs clearance procedures, reducing checks and handling of GLS import-export shipments.
The GLS eco-footprint
Every year, we collect and consolidate all data relating to our three target categories - emissions, resources and waste management - from more than 350 locations across Europe. The methodology used is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064 and is verified externally by DEKRA. Our "Eco-Footprint" also provides the basis for calculating carbon emissions for each individual parcel shipped.
In European countries where GLS has a presence we have 22 local environmental representatives who work to ensure that the measures defined at group level are applied to the individual local realities. As local contacts, they promote the exchange of ideas and the best Think Green projects throughout the group, collecting data and results that are useful for measuring our Eco-Footprint.
