How does the GLS VIP loyalty program work?
Order from online stores with GLS delivery or send parcels using the app, track your shipments, and collect virtual parcels in GLS VIP.
Every parcel sent or received counts: the app automatically credits your parcels, which determine your level during a 1-year collection period.
We recalculate your parcel traffic every year, so you can always enjoy discounts and extra benefits based on your current activity.
The higher your parcel traffic, the more you earn.
The range of available services and discounts will continue to expand in the future!

What is the GLS VIP loyalty program?
GLS VIP is a loyalty program for users of the GLS Hungary app, in which you can collect virtual parcels by sending and receiving parcels and receive various discounts, coupons, and extra surprises.
How can I join the GLS VIP loyalty program?
Download the GLS Hungary app and register, or update your existing GLS app, log in to your account, accept the terms and conditions, and you will automatically be enrolled in the GLS VIP loyalty program.
When does the parcel collection period start and how long does it last?
The parcel collection period is one year. Your GLS VIP level and the associated discounts are determined by the number of parcels you collect during this period.
The GLS VIP loyalty program is being rolled out in stages between January 28 and February 3, 2026, as the app update may not be available on all mobile devices at the same time.
Your collection period starts on the day when you:
- receive the latest app version,
- update the app,
- log into the updated app,
- and accept the General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
If you have already registered in the GLS app, your collection period will start on the day you complete the above steps.
Parcel traffic befeore the update does not count towards GLS VIP points collection.
If you join the GLS VIP program later, the 1-year parcel collection period will start from the date of your app registration.
What happens if there are multiple email addresses in the account because we track each other's parcels in the app as a family?
When receiving a parcel, we always credit the parcel to the primary email address of the person who ordered from the webshop with GLS. If you are only tracking the same parcel with a secondary email address, it will not be credited.
However, when a parcel is sent, we credit both the sender and the recipient, as the sale of products between private individuals on social media platforms or other platforms for the sale and purchase of used products is usually a mutual agreement between the two parties. In this case, we would like to encourage both parties to choose GLS.
Can sole traders and companies participate in the VIP loyalty program?
No, only private individuals. We can only issue invoices for parcel shipments to private individuals within the app, not to companies with tax numbers. This can still only be done via our website, ecsomag.hu.
Is GLS VIP available on the web as well as on the app?
No, the GLS VIP loyalty program only works in the GLS Hungary app. You can only participate in the loyalty program with parcels that you send via the app or that you ordered using the email address you provided as your primary email address in the app. Parcels sent via ecsomag.hu do not count towards the loyalty program.
Where can I check my current level and discounts?
In the GLS Hungary app, under the Rewards menu at the bottom, you can track the number of parcels you have collected, your current level, and your available discounts at any time.
If I want to use the app without the loyalty program, is that possible?
No, this will not be possible after January 28, 2026. BUT: your parcel tracking and the app's previous features will remain unchanged, just ignore the Rewards menu. You can turn marketing messages on or off at any time in your Profile, so you can decide what you want to be notified about and through which channel.
If I delete the GLS Hungary app, will my profile also be deleted?
No, your profile will still exist. If you do not wish to use the GLS Hungary app at all in the future and do not want to receive any related messages – which you previously subscribed to – you must select the Delete Account function under the Profile menu item.
What does dynamic parcel tracking mean?
The new features allow recipients to:
- They can follow the approximate position of the courier in a map view for their home delivery packages
- They can see how many deliveries are still ahead of them
- They receive a dynamically changing delivery time interval, which is constantly narrowing as the courier approaches
At first, it works for about 80% of home delivery packages, the artificial intelligence algorithm behind the system is constantly learning, so this view will be available for more and more packages.
How can I receive a notification about the delivery of the package?
Enter your most frequently used e-mail addresses, which you expect to be notified about, so you don't miss a single package.
It is important that you enter all the e-mail addresses that you usually use for orders, because this is the only way you will receive notifications.
Can I set delivery addresses?
Yes, set the addresses to easily choose between delivery addresses.
I would like to change the delivery address. How can I do this?
Thanks to flexible redirection, this can also be done within the app.
If the sender has ordered the FlexDeliveryService service through the app, you can choose from various delivery options, including redirection to a GLS Parcel Point or GLS Parcel Locker.
Do I have to constantly select the address of my favorite Parcel Shop or parcel locker?
In the application, you have the option to set your favorites so that you can easily choose from the pick-up locations later.
Parcel Tracking
You can track where your parcel is at any time and when it is expected to reach the recipient.
I have entered all my details, but I am still not receiving notifications.
If you placed your order recently, it is possible that the sender has not yet registered the parcel in our system. Or you have not yet set up the email address you provided when placing your order.
It is also possible that you did not select the option to receive email or mobile push notifications in the app's notifications settings. You can change this by clicking on the Profile menu at the bottom of the app, selecting the Notifications submenu, and turning on the options you want using the sliders on the right.
If these conditions are met but you still do not receive the notification, please contact our Customer Service.
Where and how can I send a parcel via the app?
You can only send parcels as a private individual through the app.
For domestic shipments: request a courier pickup at your home or drop off the parcel at a GLS parcel locker. Delivery can be made by courier, to a parcel locker, or to a parcel shop.
For international shipments: request a courier pickup at your home or drop off the parcel at a GLS parcel locker. However, international parcels will always be delivered to the recipient's home by a courier.
Which countries can I send parcels to via the app?
Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Poland, Luxembourg, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, Sweden.
