PrivateDelivery is the ideal solution for private recipients, offering the possibility to fit the parcel reception to their daily routine.
Online shops booking PrivateDelivery for their customers offer an all-around positive shopping experience and therefore significantly enhance the client satisfaction.
GLS offers recipients two possibilities to conveniently receive parcels when PrivateDelivery has been activated:
When choosing the DepositService during the ordering process, the delivery driver will place the parcel at a defined location close to the recipients address – for example on a patio.
After the delivery, the recipient will be informed by e-mail. No signature is necessary to confirm the parcel receipt.
Individual delivery, selectable at short notice: with the FlexDeliveryService recipients are informed about the day and estimated delivery time for their parcel via e-mail.
If the parcel cannot be accepted at the given time, the recipient can choose from five alternative delivery options:
- Delivery to a GLS ParcelShop (max 20 kg)
- Grant a signature release authorisation
- Delivery to a new address
- Delivery to the same address on a specific date
- Collection at a GLS depot
