Information about euro currency

Status: December 28th, 2022

Please note:

From January 1st, 2023 Croatia enters the eurozone and the official currency becomes the euro. The implementation of the new currency on user systems will begin on December 30th, 2022.

Read below what exactly will change and how it will affect the service:

Contracted clients:

As part of the adjustment from December 16th, 2022 the parcel labels will show the cash on delivery amount in both currency, HRK and in EUR aligned with the fixed conversion rate (1 EUR = 7,53450 HRK). The production of parcel labels exclusively with the currency HRK will be possible until December 30th, 2022 at 12:00. After that time the implementation will start, therefore system for creating parcel labels will not be available on December 30th, 2022 in the period from 12:00 to 16:00. Upon completion of the implementation of the changes, the system will allow the creation of labels only in the new currency (EUR) from December 30th, 2022 at 16:00.

All parcel labels made from December 16th, 2022 which will contain cash on delivery currency in HRK and EUR, and are submitted to the delivery system after January 1st 2023, will be regularly delivered in accordance with the EUR currency.

Cash on delivery payments to users IBAN accounts in 2022 will be made exclusively in kuna, and from January 1st, 2023 exclusively in euros. Also, clients who use foreign IBAN accounts for cash on delivery need to check whether they have the option of accepting payments in euro.

Cash on delivery payments until the end of this year will be accepted exclusively in kuna, while cash on delivery options from the new year differ in relation to the type of delivery:

  • Hand delivery or collection of parcels at Paket Shop branches: until the end of this year, payment will be accepted exclusively in kuna, while in the period from Janurary 1st till January 15th, cash on delivery payment should be possible in kuna and euros. Next, from January 16th ,cash on delivery payment will only be possible in the euro currency.
  • •Delivery to Paketomat: delivery payment at Paketomat is only possible with Maestro, Master Card and Visa cards. Until the end of this year, payment will be accepted exclusively in kuna, and from January 1st, .2023 exclusively in euros. Due to the adjustment of the system in the period from December 31st, 2022. from 20:00 until Januray 3rd, 2023 at 09:00, it will be possible to pick up only parcels without a payment on delivery service at Paketomat.

Due to the implementation of the new currency, the portal will be unavailable from December 30th, 2022, 11:30 until January 2nd, 2023, 09:00. All orders made with the cash on delivery service that have not been paid by the start of implementation will be canceled and it will be necessary for users after Januray 1st, 2023 to re-create the order through the portal interface.Orders that were paid after the implementation of the euro, and for which invoices were issued before the start of implementation, as well as orders that do not contain an order for the execution of the cash on delivery service, will not need to be repeated.
