Terms for signature release authorisation
Scope of the authorisation
A power of attorney authorises drivers from GLS Denmark and GLS Express (hereinafter GLS) to drop off shipments sent with GLS. Shipments may be left at our company/private address without a receipt for receipt, but by scanning the authorisation plate in the future.
Entry into force
The authorisation comes into force when the issued authorisation sign has been set up. GLS sends the authorisation sign on the basis of an order of authorisation at fuldmagt.gls.dk.
Notification
In connection with the delivery of parcels under the power of attorney, GLS can send an SMS notification per parcel delivered under the power of attorney. This option is selected when ordering the power of attorney or can be added later.
Indemnification
GLS is liable for damages as long as the shipments are in their custody. When the consignments have been delivered to the address at the agreed location, GLS' liability ceases. The consignee is then responsible if shipments are lost or damaged, and the consignee cannot claim compensation.
In the event of damage or shortage, complaints must be made to GLS within 5 days of delivery, Sundays and public holidays excluded.
See also GLS' General Terms and Conditions.
Revocation of authorisation
The authorisation can be revoked at any time and is only valid for the specific purposes mentioned above. Cancellation must be made in writing to GLS and the recipient must ensure that the authorisation sign is removed.
The SMS notification upon delivery can also be cancelled at any time. This can be done by contacting my GLS Depot by telephone.
Validity of the authorisation
The authorisation is valid until the recipient has revoked it; if the authorisation is not used within 12 months, GLS will automatically delete it.
