Shipment types

For labels purchased on GLS' online portal.

As a private person or as a company who has a small need for parcel shipping, GLS' online portal is a good solution. Here you can see what types of shipping methods you can use.

Delivery to ParcelShop (ParcelShopDelivery)

GLS' most popular delivery method is delivery to a GLS ParcelShop. With more than 1,650 ParcelShops nationwide, there is also one near your recipient. By offering saturday distribution to all Danish ParcelShops, we have ensured that your recipients weekend gets even better.

When the parcel is ready for pick up in the ParcelShop, GLS sends an email and sms to your recipient. The recipient can then pick up the parcel or get someone else to do it - they just need to provide the parcel number and recipient's name. Easy and simple.

Delivery to business address (BusinessDelivery)

If you need to send a parcel to a business address, then it must be delivered directly to their address. You ensure this by ticking off in the field in Danish "Levering til erhvervsadresse".

GLS delivers every weekday between 7-16. The parcel is delivered in the goods reception, front desk or the place where GLS usually delivers to the company in question.

Delivery to privates - at home (PrivateDelivery)

Delivery to the home address is easy and convenient when the recipient is at home and present to sign for the parcel. By default, GLS must have a receipt for delivery of the parcel.

GLS typically delivers between 7 and 16 - when extraordinary busyness, however, we are expanding this delivery window.

Delivery to private without receipt (DepositService)

As sender of a parcel, you can ask GLS to deliver the parcel without a receipt. In that case, we deposit the parcel on the sender's responsibility and consider the delivery as completed when the parcel is placed at the agreed location.

If you want to make use of this option, then you have to tick off the field in Danish "Må vi stille din pakke?". Remember to note where the recipient would like the parcel placed without a receipt - preferably a place that can not be seen from a public road and where it can not rain on the parcel.
