Ready for peak

The busiest season of the year is coming up; A season with Black Week, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and last, but not least, Christmas - and we can't wait!

We have prepared ourselves throughout the year, in order to deliver the best parcel experiences in Denmark during peak season - Just like you're used to. But we need you to maintain the highest possible quality of delivery.

Here's what you can do:

  • Inform your local depot, if you expect have substantially more parcels than normal. This enables our depots to prepare and your customers will get a better experience.
  • Contact your local depot in due time before Black Friday, if you want to know more about the possibilities to deliver or pick up parcels during the weekends - Or if you want to change your usual setup. Be aware, that in some occasions, it might be necessary to pick up parcels earlier, than outside of the peak season.
  • Make your customers aware, that even though we are doing our best, some parcels may be a bit postponed upon delivery.
  • Remind your customers, that it is important that they pick up their parcels from the ParcelShop as quickly as possible. This gives more room on the shelves for the parcels on their way.

We expect that this year will be another record breaking year in relation to the ammount of parcels from Black Friday to Christmas. This doesn't only set demands for you as a customer, nor our recipients, but also for the infrastructure at GLS. You can rest assured, that we are well prepared, so we can keep our position as the preferred parcel distribution in Denmark.

We have prepared by:

  • Developing a new GLS-app, which makes it easier to trace and pick up parcels with GLS.
  • Introduced saturday delievery to our more than 1.700 ParcelShops in Denmark
  • Extended our opening hours in Customer Service
    • Monday to friday from 08.30 - 20.00 and staruday from 10.00 - 15.00.
    • Extra ordinarily open on Sunday the 28th of November after Black Friday from 10.00 - 15.00
    • We have expanded our opening hours on Saturdays during december, so you can reach us from 09.00 - 16.00.
