Working for parcel transportation in a more just and sustainable environment

We seek sustainable and responsible growth, a perfect balance between profitability and commitment to the environment and society. To do this, we work continuously aligned with the GLS Group’s strategics line and the sustainable development goals (SDG).

GLS Spain understands that achieving sustainable shipments must be framed within a society that actively participates in the actions and services the company develops. Customers, NGOs, and other stakeholders are part of this environment in which we carry out our transport and logistics activities.

As part of our commitment to people and their internal development, 98.93% of our workforce has a permanent contract, ensuring the stability needed to retain talent.

ONCE Foundation

Inclusion is one of our main commitments to society. A clear example of this is the agreement between GLS Spain and Fundación ONCE to promote the hiring of people with disabilities in our company. Through the Inserta Empleo platform, an entity dedicated to training and employment under Fundación ONCE, GLS Spain will be able to fill new job positions as needed by the company, pre-select candidates who best match the required profile, and provide tailored training to help them perform the assigned tasks. This agreement also involves GLS Spain joining the Inserta Responsible Forum, a networked work and social innovation platform that facilitates the sharing of practices, tools, and experiences to effectively advance the development of labor inclusion policies for talent with disabilities.

Carta a la diversidad

GLS Spain Renews Its Adherence to the Diversity Charter 24-25, a Commitment Code to Promote the Fundamental Principles of Equality, Diversity, and InclusionSince 2019, we have been signatories of this manifesto, which is based on ten fundamental principles aimed at incorporating equality and diversity as core company values, facilitating the effective integration of all employees, promoting work-life balance, and involving partners and suppliers in these inclusive practices. Our collaboration with Special Employment Centers and the Inserta agreement signed with Fundación ONCE are examples of this commitment

Special Employment Centers

GLS Spain consists of around 570 agencies and 33 branches, 13 of which are Special Employment Centers. These are integrative companies whose primary goal is to provide employment opportunities for people with any type of disability. This allows them to grow professionally, enhance their personal skills, and improve their interaction with the environment, all within a suitably designed workplace and in the company of other professionals.

At GLS Spain we work to raise awareness and end social stigmas, making room for hard-working people who contribute significantly to the company’s global results thanks to their contribution to the shipping management chain. As success stories, we highlight the centers located in urban areas and that carry out the distribution in walkers, zero-emission vehicles or public transport, also contributing to the reduction of the environmental impact of our activity.
