Fast delivery with a new name: to increase visibility, Poland’s ParcelShops become Szybka Paczka.

GLS Poland rebrands its ParcelShops
Customer-friendly: To increase visibility, 100 pilot shops out of a total of over 1.500 ParcelShops of GLS Poland are renamed Szybka Paczka. The others are to follow if the results are positive.
The shop-in-shop service for private clients and recipients is well-received throughout Poland. Since some customers have had difficulties recognizing the ParcelShops due to the English name, GLS Poland responds to their needs by rebranding 100 pilot shops.
The brand Szybka Paczka, meaning fast parcel, is already known by many Polish customers. Founded in 1998, it used to be Poland’s express service that later became GLS Poland.
Szybka Paczka is to evoke direct associations with the services provided by GLS, i.e. with the fast delivery of parcels.

International e-commerce simplified further
Italy, Portugal, Finland and Bulgaria have recently been added to the international FlexDeliveryService. The number of countries connected across borders via the service thus rises to 21.
Web shops and their customers, in particular, benefit from the international connection via the service, as delivery according to the recipient’s choice rounds off a shopping experience abroad. No matter in which of the affiliated countries online shoppers order goods – GLS will inform them about the delivery in their native language.
Delivery according to choice
Depending on the country in question, recipients will then have various options to manage the time and location of their delivery. GLS or the network partner in the country adapts flexibly to the needs of recipients. This includes, for example, parcel delivery on a desired day, forwarding to a different address or the delivery to a selected ParcelShop.
A pan-European service
In addition to the 21 countries connected in all directions, the FlexDeliveryService has already been set up for export parcels to Greece. GLS is preparing to connect further countries.

GLS received the prestigious award in the category "Domestic express service”. The ranking is determined by the TSL sector’s key customers.
The award is based on a customer satisfaction survey, which provides information on the scope and quality of logistics services offered on the market. The survey is conducted annually by Data Group Consulting and Eurologistics Publishing. This year, GLS Poland was also included in the top of the Top500 ranking of "Manually Managed Logistics Companies”.

New service simplifies communication
The new InfoCourierService provides delivery information for recipients. It also enables them to directly contact the delivery driver to coordinate delivery details.
New service simplifies communication
The new InfoCourierService provides delivery information for recipients. It also enables them to directly contact the delivery driver to coordinate delivery details.
It couldn’t be easier: The sender of a parcel – for example an online shop – books the new service and sends the recipient’s phone number to GLS. On the day of the parcel’s delivery, an SMS is sent to the recipient, announcing the upcoming delivery. If the shipment is a cash on delivery parcel, the SMS also informs the customer of the amount to be paid upon delivery.
The SMS also transmits the cell phone number of the respective delivery driver. So, if the recipient wishes to arrange details with the delivery driver, they can make direct contact. There is no need to call the sender or the GLS hotline.
Beneficial for all parties involved
On request, the delivery driver can for example deliver the parcel to a certain neighbour if nobody will be at home to accept it. The courier can also contact the recipient should he or she have a problem with the delivery – maybe because of an incomplete address.
As a result, the InfoCourierService will in many cases shorten the delivery time. It will reduce the number of enquiries sent to senders’ customers’ service. And it will contribute to the satisfaction of online shoppers.

GLS Poland warns of scams during the Christmas period
Fake online shops are a common scam. They usually require payment in advance and do not deliver the ordered goods. A fake shop is typically online just for a short time.
Online shoppers should consider the following tips:
- pay attention to the address of the website.
- check the name of the store in a search engine to find reviews.
- verify the company's RGON, NIP and KRS database as well as the registered office address with help of a search engine. These information can be found in the footer at the bottom of the website.
- compare prices and be sceptical when products are offered very cheaply.
Please be cautious of scams, especially during the Christmas period.
